In July 1999, Momentum undertook a sales campaign
on behalf of Cambridge Gas & Electricity, a new entrant to the
national utility supply market. Over the course of the next three
years the company entrusted more and more aspects of its business
to Momentum. Our work with them included inbound and outbound sales
work, operation of its customer service call centre and the establishment
of a customer retention team.
In 2001, Cambridge Gas & Electricity was bought
by Spanish utility giant Union Fenosa. Despite having its own enormous
in-house capability, Union Fenosa opted to retain Momentum’s
services for this business. Following the recent transfer of the
company’s customer base to another of the other major UK suppliers,
Momentum is working with them, to build on the work done to date
and to establish an operation on their behalf, totalling 100 call
centre seats.
